This is a set of all the S-Mint War Nickels. The War Nickels were nickels made in the years from 1942 to 1945, and were made from 35% silver because silver was not a metal that was drastically needed by the war effort. These are the only 5 Cent US Nickels ever to be made with silver and as a result have been highly collectible throughout the years.
