The console pictured below had a more typical tear that was repaired.  My own console (pictured above) required the closeup setting of the digital camera to appropriately capture the rip, I've seen plenty of these consoles in way worse shape (like shown below) especially those not garaged...mine is even garaged and the wear/rip occurred.

I recently got your Explorer console repair kit and I must say it is wonderful. The kit I got already had the material pre-cut so my project took even less time and effort. Like most people out there, I don't have the money to go to a upholstery shop or pay the HUGE price for a OEM replacement from Ford. The install on my 99 explorer went smooth and the instructions were easy to follow. I showed the results to a friend of mine and he was amazed at how it turned out. So I'm sure you'll be having a future customer down the road since he too is an Explorer owner. Again thanks for producing such a quality and affordable product (which is hard to find these days!)
